Beyond the ordinary

Module 5: Shaping Your Story: Sculpture &
Empowerment
Overview
Welcome to Module • What emotions or ideas are you ready to give tangible form to? Is there a feeling you
want to solidify, an aspiration you want to manifest, or a personal quality you wish to
embody more fully? How might this abstract concept translate into a three-dimensional
form?
• How can you physically manifest your sense of empowerment and agency? What
shapes, gestures, or structures convey strength, resilience, or self-determination for
you? Think about how you stand when you feel powerful, or what objects symbolize
empowerment.
• What does it feel like to shape something from nothing, to bring an idea into three-
dimensional reality? Pay attention to the tactile sensations of working with your
chosen material. Does it feel challenging, liberating, meditative, or empowering? How
does this physical act connect to your sense of self-efficacy?
• How does the process of building and constructing relate to how you build and
construct your own life and identity? What does it mean to add, subtract, or connect
elements in your sculpture, and how does that mirror your personal growth?
